ERIC HOLLANDSWORTH

ORCHESTRAL STRINGS

Eric Hollandsworth, a Roanoke born and raised cellist graduated from Roanoke College with a focus in String Performance for Cello and Upright Bass. He began his musical journey at a young age eventually taking on symphonic work as well as theater pit work before getting into Jazz. He currently teaches as a professor with both Lynchburg College and Sweet Briar College while remaining active in the gig scene with Roanoke based group “Tendencies” and Lynchburg based Jazz Group “Flat Five.” He strives to help his students reach not only a good working knowledge of their instrument but also push towards their own creative goals. He is currently accepting beginner level Violin and Viola students as well as Cello and Bass students of any experience level.
