Ryan received his Bachelor of Music degree from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia in 2012. Ryan has taught private lessons since 2004, with experience as both an independent contractor for larger organizations as well as in-home private instruction. Ryan spends much of his time in the world of music. Outside of providing lessons at Hill City Music Roanoke, he is the co-director of the All Star City Jazz Band, and works as a Saxophonist for Hire playing for groups and events in the greater Roanoke area. Ryan’s lessons focus on building fundamentals and technique best practices. This way, no matter the instrument or genre of music, you can be successful. Ryan has experience teaching saxophone, guitar, and keyboards as well as support skills including improvisation, theory, and ear training.
