Born in upstate NY, Tim has experience in multiple instruments from Band to Voice to Guitar, Bass and Piano. An All-state band and choir musician, Tim received a SUNY scholarship to study at the Morrisville campus, achieving the lead chair position for Alto Saxophone from ’78 to ’79. Tim continued his education at the University of Utah at Salt Lake City, again leading all Alto Saxophones from ’80 to ’83. Tim has an extensive career in music; touring the United States and Canada from ’82 through ’90, working as a music director in Las Vegas, and a music educator after he finished touring. Tim started teaching private music lessons in ’97 and continues this work today, having worked with students in Colorado, California, Florida, and now Virginia. During this time, Tim also found success working as an educational representative for the Yamaha Corporation of America in the early 2000s. He is a published composer with work in TV and Film, including composing for companies like Honda and Disney. Tim is a lifelong advocate for music education and can help you on your journey whether that means playing in large concert ensembles, taking the stage as a band or solo act, or pursuing knowledge of musical theory, recording, and production.
